Photo finishes, sun-baked pitches, and a very proud school – it's been quite the few weeks for sport at Child of Hope!
Back on 10th July, our Junior School went up against other schools from Industrial Division at the local Sports Day, entering football, netball and volleyball teams in both the Under-12 and Under-14 age groups. The stars of the show were our Under-12 girls' netball team (pictured above), who won a match 7–0 (yes, really) to become the best-performing team from Child of Hope on the day. The football team came home without a win, but played with real grit – the kind that builds character as much as fitness.
Since then, seven of our pupils have gone on to represent Industrial Division at the Mbale City competition, and we've just had the results. Five have qualified to represent Mbale City at National level (this is huge!):
