These five good friends love working together as a group called Young Farmers in their free time. During weekends and holidays, they spend time helping on the school farm with our cows, goats, rabbits, turkeys, chickens, guinea fowl, pigeons and ducks.
The young farmers help Mr Max (our farm manager) in the routine work of feeding the animals, cleaning their shelters, and collecting grass for animal feed.
Recently they helped care for Grace, the pregnant cow, which gave birth to a beautiful calf they named Shalom (above). Now they are enjoying the milk that Grace provides.
The children work voluntarily, although they occasionally receive small gifts as thanks for their efforts. They are keen to work hard to gain special responsibilities and become role models for other animal-loving children.
