Introducing baby Grace, the latest addition to the Child of Hope family, who was born recently. Grace’s mum, who lived in Namabasa near our secondary school, tragically died during childbirth. The family were struggling to care for Grace, so Child of Hope stepped in.
Stella, our school nurse, went to visit Grace, bringing with her powdered milk as she had only been given water to drink. Stella also checked her over and tied off the umbilical cord correctly, as it was still bleeding. She will continue to visit Grace every couple of days to ensure she is thriving and to support the local family who have taken Grace in. Child of Hope will also continue to provide the powdered milk for Grace until she is old enough for solids. We look forward to posting more updates on baby Grace as she grows up.
