Learning is always more fun when it’s practical! Arts and crafts are enjoyed in our Uganda schools just as elsewhere in the world. The difference lies in the available materials.

Here you can see children transforming local resources such as beads, sisal, papyrus, banana fibres and leaves into useful products. They have fun making necklaces, dance costumes, ropes, mats and balls. Opportunities like these encourage their skills in innovation and creativity, both being vital life skills where income is scarce.

Sponsoring the children enables us to provide them with resources and materials for their lessons, as well as funding teachers, uniforms, medical aid and much more. To find out more about our sponsorship programmes, please click here.
