Six year-old Ezra is running further than he has ever run before – all to raise funds for slum kids and their families in Uganda during the Covid-19 crisis.
Ezra originally set his target at £100 but that was broken within days, thanks to generous friends and family. Now he’s hoping to beat the £1,000 mark – and he has already raised £870.
Mum Charlotte said: “We were talking about the situation to Ezra and discussing how we can help as a family and he had an idea (inspired by Captain Tom!). He is going to run 5km, which is further than he has ever run before. He would like to raise as much money as he can to help the children in a community in desperate need.”
The event is planned for early May, and in the meantime it’s on with the training… go Ezra!
If you’d like to encourage him on his way and help lots of Ugandan kids too, please donate on Ezra’s JustGiving page: http://www.justgiving.com/Charlotte-Sellers1
