The new term at our secondary school began with a week devoted to personal development of students. This included guidance, counselling, and spiritual encouragement.

Students were encouraged to make wise life choices through well-considered decision-making, good friendship choices and to seek advice from staff when necessary. Good study habits were also advocated along with communication with their teachers about academic progress.

Many schools do not provide this kind of personal development support to their students, and it underlines the importance in Child of Hope of holistic care.
