When Tracy, a senior staff member within the Child of Hope team, came across a distressed child stranded in a deep ditch in Namatala, she quickly reached in and helped him out.
He had lost his way home and was looking for his parents. The rubbish-filled ditch – with its stagnant water and untreated sewage – posed a significant risk to the child’s health. Tracy searched for his home and managed to reunite the child with his parents... to their huge relief!
Tracy is part of our Family Support Team that works with our pupils’ families; their team members are always on the lookout as they travel through the slum for anyone in need of help.
