Our school has reached a major milestone… with the first children finishing their primary education! These are the very first pupils that started with Child of Hope, when we ran a small nursery class from a borrowed church hall.

Externally-marked end-of-school examinations have taken place and once results are known (later this month), the teenagers can prepare to move up to secondary school or vocational training.

Their final decision will depend on their results in those Primary Leaving Examinations, which are normally released mid-January – but because of forthcoming national elections, they may evidently be delayed until the end of January.

Better results will allow them to go to one of the best secondary schools in Mbale, which is nearby. Whatever their choice, we are committed to continue feeding them, meet their school fees and provide ongoing medical and welfare care.
