Maria is a young woman who has benefitted from the education she received throughout her childhood and teenage years from Child of Hope.
Following a two-year vocational course in catering and bakery, she graduated as a chef in December 2022. Maria is delighted to have now secured employment in a local hotel. As well as providing her with a living, she can now help her siblings who are still at home.
The ethos of Child of Hope has always been to beat poverty through education so the children can, in turn, give back to their families and community; Maria is a shining example of the programme's success in Namatala.
