Meet Yapesi, one of our school cooks. Their working day starts at 6am when they clean the kitchen and set the fires in the stoves, ready to prepare porridge for the nursery children. Then they prepare posho, beans and vegetables for lunch, which is enjoyed by staff as well as pupils.

Yapesi enjoys serving the meal with a big smile, welcoming children and staff, and even thanking them on occasion for taking the meal he has cooked! He likes to check with them that they have found it tasty. Thanks to the diligence of Yapesi and his fellow cooks, the children and staff enjoy nutritious meals each day on time.
