Peace (on the right) is lending a helping hand to her friend selling Chenga (broken rice) for her mother, one of the IGA mothers, during Covid-19.

Whenever she is free at home, Peace finds time to catch up with friends. When they are not helping at the Chenga stall, they read their books and play some games together. Next time, her friend will return the favour when Peace is tied up with chores at home.

Most of the children in the slum find it hard to stay home all day, because their small homes are too congested to play indoors. Instead there are communal places within the slum with ample space where children can congregate each evening to play together.
