Revising for exams during school holidays isn’t always easy in the Namatala slum, especially if your whole family lives in one room, or there’s no electricity. So, when Moses (a former CoH pupil) wanted to study for his O-levels with his friends from Mbale Senior Secondary School, we made a classroom available in our primary school.

These youngsters had decided to apply themselves in studying pretty hard and are able to use the classroom until the school term begins, which will help prepare them academically. The exams take place in October.

Moses has been with Child of Hope since 2008, when he was a little boy in the nursery school, so he’s come a long way to be taking O-levels. Now he’s the tall guy, third from the left (above).
