Many congratulations to Chris for completing his first-ever endurance event at the Bournemouth Half Marathon last weekend and raising over £640 for Child of Hope!
Chris has been training since March, overcoming a few setbacks in the final weeks with the help of some sports therapy. Nearly 4,500 runners lined up for the start at Hengistbury Head. Chris said the crowd was hugely supportive and cheered everyone around the course and across the finish line!
Chris chose to run for Child of Hope, inspired by his family's connection to our work. Several of his family members have supported CoH through child sponsorship or visiting Uganda to see the impact firsthand - and Chris's wife, Bryony, also ran a half marathon for us earlier this year!
