After several weeks in hospital, Joel (the COH student with fluid on his lungs) was finally discharged — still a little weak, but feeling much better. And yesterday, he came into school to spend time with the school nurse (pictured left).
Joel was very excited to go and visit his friends. When he walked into class, his classmates burst into applause, their faces filled with huge smiles! Joel headed straight to his seat, so happy to be back where he belongs. He is pictured (in red) with his teacher and class. We’ll be making sure Joel gets plenty of rest and time with the nurse during the day to help him continue to recover.
A huge thank you to Grace, one of our amazing school parents, who stayed by Joel’s side throughout his time in hospital. Many thanks also to everyone who kindly donated towards his medical expenses.
