An exciting new project is taking place in the Primary school; each class has a plot of land to look after within the school garden.

The older pupils applied their maths skills to measure out eight plots, one for each Primary class and one for Nursery. P6 class undertook all the slashing of weeds! With the arrival of the rains, the individual classes then had to hoe their land ready for planting.

All classes are growing their crops to provide food for the children. These will take about three months to mature before harvesting. The project provides the pupils with exciting outdoor learning opportunities in maths, science and geography - and plenty of fun!
