Meet Peter (seen here holding the book), a young primary pupil at Child of Hope who has faced some tough challenges.
After losing his mum and living with an elderly relative, his life became more and more difficult. He started missing school to search for food and eventually ended up living on the streets. Thankfully, our welfare team stepped in and arranged for him to stay at the boys’ hostel at our secondary school.
Since then, he's been doing really well and has found a supportive community of 'big brothers' who look after him. Peter had hardly any clothes and the ones he had were too small for him. One of our supporters kindly donated to help, and he had great fun going on a shopping trip with Aunty Tracy, one of our welfare team! It's fantastic to see him flourishing and surrounded by his hostel family.
