Anna Rose.jpegAnna has taken the first step in achieving her dream of becoming a nurse – and having grown up in Namatala slum where healthcare services have been poor, she is keen to make a difference.

Former Child of Hope pupil Anna studied hard to achieve good grades in her O-levels so she could apply to medical schools to train in nursing. Two nursing schools offered her a place, one for general nursing and the other for psychiatric nursing. Anna has chosen psychiatric nursing as she is passionate about helping those suffering from mental illness. She will be studying for two years at Butabika School of Psychiatric Nursing, 250 km from her home town of  Mbale.

As Anna embarks upon her specialist training, Child of Hope wishes her great success!
