Supporting mum

Olive is in Senior 2 class at Gill Sherlock Secondary School. She is the eldest child of a single mother and is supporting her Mum’s small business selling potatoes door to door in the local community.

She helps with the business each day on her return from school and at weekends. The business provides the family with income for house rent, medication, food and school fees for Olive’s younger siblings, who attend other local schools. Olive’s assistance means more family income for these essentials.
