Following a confirmed outbreak of yellow fever in eastern Uganda, the Ministry of Health recently carried out emergency vaccinations at our Mbale schools.
Students from our nursery, primary, and secondary schools were all incredibly brave and patiently lined up, ready to be protected. Vaccinations are a vital part of preventing the spread of the disease, which can be serious - and even fatal - if left untreated.
We’re grateful for the swift response to the outbreak, and to the health workers and our school team for supporting the students so well on the day. Well done to all our pupils for facing the jab with such courage!
