Our schools are not only concerned with academic achievement but also developing practical skills that will enrich children’s lives – hopefully long into the future.
So, with the schools still on Covid lockdown, our family support team and some of the teachers have been running various craft programmes for the nursery and primary children.
The youngsters have been learning to make items including dolls, balls, mats, charcoal stoves, bags and baskets. Their handiwork is being labelled and displayed at school. Prizes will be awarded to those who have produced the best items, encouraging their continued hard work.
