Deborah IGA 2.jpegAfter trading for some time in second-hand clothes, IGA mum Deborah has responded to business challenges by changing products – to selling honey.

With imports of clothes for the second-hand market delayed because of the pandemic, Deborah is beginning to deal instead in locally supplied products. Her first is a local organic honey, which she has packaged herself, then she hopes to be able to expand into other products such as groundnut and sesame pastes, which are used as sauces to enhance basic meals. Deborah aspires to grow her business sufficiently to supply customers right across Mbale.
