Moses completed his vocational course least year but - due to Covid - he hasn’t been able to obtain his qualification. But that hasn’t stopped him…
Moses, one of our Child of Hope students, enrolled in vocational school to develop his carpentry skills. He finished his course in 2020 but was unable to take his final tests, because all learning institutions were forced to close in the pandemic.
He has still been unable to do these tests but has decided, meanwhile, to put his carpentry skills to good use. He is doing part-time work in one of Namatala's carpentry shops and is confident that this practical experience will help him when he is finally able to complete the tests for his carpentry certificate. It is also enabling him to earn a small income in the meantime.
