A young boy from Namatala was supposed to be in school, but instead of being in class, he was found scouring the community for scrap to sell.
The reason? His family had no money for soap to wash his uniform that was dirty. His mother sent him out to find anything worth picking up and selling so she could buy the much-needed soap. Fortunately, Bex and Tracy located him. Having identified the problem, they were able to bring him some soap to wash his uniform and he was back in school the next morning, ready to learn. This is an example of the care and vigilance taken within Child of Hope to find and help any children who go missing from school.
