When school is closed during the pandemic, it is always gratifying to find self-motivated learners amongst the children. Encouraged by their foster parents, Joel in Primary 6 and Shamira in Primary 5 have been keeping up their reading for when school reopens.
Being in the class above, Joel is able to help Shamira with her work, which in turn reminds him of things he had previously learned but forgotten.
As well as the encouragement from their foster parents, the children continue to receive support from the school’s education team, who visit children while the school is closed.
